With over 40 years in laboratory management and analytical chemistry, Rick specialises in Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) techniques. As the Laboratory Technical Manager, he leads quality control, method development, and staff management. His career includes roles at various commercial laboratories.
Rick has extensive technical knowledge in commissioning and managing ICP-OES and ICP-MS equipment, including Agilent, Thermo, Perkin Elmer, and Varian models. He is proficient in developing and optimizing digestion techniques, ensuring high-quality sample preparation and analysis. Rick's expertise also encompasses method development, quality control, and assurance, as well as preparing laboratories for NATA and ISO9001 accreditation.
